BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) - A Glencoe, Ohio couple says water runoff is ruining their house and their entire property.

Audrey Williams tells 7News that ever since a well pad was built nearby, when it rains, water comes cascading onto their lawn and into their basement.

She says the gas and oil drilling company that built the well pad insists the water has nothing to do with their operation. But Audrey says it never happened before that, not even in the 2004 floods.

"My basement was finished. I have pictures of what it looked like. My mom lived down there. That basement is all tore up. We had to take every furniture, the ceiling, the walls, everything out because it was soaking wet and it's ruined."

She says she has reached out to the Belmont County Commission, ODOT, OD-R, the EPA, state and federal lawmakers and even the governor. She says they all say they can't help.

She says their house is being ruined, through no fault of their own.

She asks for anyone-whether you're a government official or a public-spirited generous contractor-to give her a call if you can offer suggestions or help.
