Saudi govt to bear expenses on Faisal Masjid maintenance

ISLAMABAD: The Saudi government has offered to bear the cost to be incurred on the maintenance of Faisal Mosque.

Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki has written a letter to Secretary Interior Aftab Akbar Durrani in this regard. Ambassador Nawaf visited the mosque along with the interior minister and chairman CDA last week.

Now an MoU would be signed between the Saudi Embassy and the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan under which the Saudi government will bear the maintenance and operating costs. The draft of this MoU is being prepared.
