MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) -- The state Assembly will vote Thursday on legislation creating a task force on missing and murdered African American women and girls.
The bipartisan measure from Madison Democrat, Representative Sheila Stubbs, calls for establishment of a task force by the state Department of Justice, to examine various factors that contribute to violence against African American women and girls and to submit a report on actions that can be taken to eliminate violence against them by the end of this year.
This would be similar to the DOJ's existing Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Task Force.
