Daltonganj: State-run Nilamber Pitamber University has sought Raj Bhavan's intervention in removing an agency engaged in handling pre-exam, exam and post exam works here.

"It has failed to meet the expectations of the university owing to delays in issuing proper admit cards and exam schedules etc. The students are unhappy with the agency," acting vice-chancellor Tapan Kumar Shandilya on Tuesday said.A letter has been sent to Raj Bhavan last week seeking the governor's nod to float a fresh tender to recruit another agency. The Raj Bhavan has withheld the financial powers of the acting four VCs of the state universities, including NPU, for the past seven months because of which the acting VCs are working on their behalf.

Shandilya said, "Once we get a go-ahead from Raj Bhavan, we will start looking for an agency to handle our exam works." TNN
