'Go right ahead,' Southwick parks chair tells would-be fundraiser for dog park

SOUTHWICK -- On Thursday, the Parks and Recreation Commission again endorsed a proposal from a former Southwick volunteer firefighter to build a dog park in town.

"You can go right ahead and do whatever," said Jeanne Reed, the chair of the commission, during Sarah Ann Leavy's second presentation to commission about her vision for a dog park in town.

"We're in no rush," Leavy said, but she wanted to let the commission know she will be appealing to various pet-related foundations throughout the country that provide dog park construction grants.
