Cipher, Toshakhana cases: IHC takes up Imran, Bushra's pleas today

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) will take up appeals against conviction of PTI founder in Cipher and Toshakhana cases on Monday (today).

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb will conduct the hearing. The appeals of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Bushra Bibi will also be heard. The same bench will hear pleas for bail with suspension of sentence.

The hearing will be held on the appeals against 10-year sentence by the Special Court under Official Secrets Act of PTI founder in Cipher case and 14-year imprisonment by Accountability Court in Toshahkhana NAB reference. A bench was also constituted to hear the bail application of Imran Khan in the £190 million corruption case. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri will hold the hearing.
