WINDHOEK - Late Namibian President Hage Geingob has been described as a nation-builder and pan-African hero.

His funeral was attended by almost 20 former African heads of state.
They included founding Namibian President Sam Nujoma and his successor Hifikepunye Pohamba.

President Cyril Ramaphosa and the German President also attended the funeral in Windhoek.

He also chaired the body that drafted Namibia's constitution, which is considered a model of good governance.
Geingob died in hospital earlier this month, just weeks after he was diagnosed with cancer.
