Kathmandu: Namibia's Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton has set a new world record with the fastest-ever T20I century, taking just 33 balls to reach triple figures and fire his nation to victory over Nepal.

The 22-year-old came in with Namibia sitting at 62-3 in the 11th over and blasted 11 fours and eight sixes en route to 101 off 36 deliveries.

Namibia won the match by 20 runs after bowing out Nepal for 186 in 18.5 overs.

Eaton broke Nepal's Kushal Malla's record of the fastest T20I hundred which the latter scored off 34 balls against Mongolia last year. Interestingly, Malla was on the pitch when his record was broken.
