Nikki Haley Beats Trump In D.C. To Score First Primary Win

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley won the Republican primary in the District of Columbia on Sunday to claim the first primary victory of her 2024 presidential campaign, after she vowed to remain in the race at least until the important Super Tuesday contests.

Commenting on her win, Haley wrote on X: "Republicans closest to Washington's dysfunction know that Donald Trump has brought nothing but chaos and division for the past 8 years. It's time to start winning again and move our nation forward!"

Haley's spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas pointed out that Haley's Sunday win makes her the "first woman to win a Republican primary in U.S. history."
