MANILA, Philippines: Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Monday said that charges of sexual child abuse and qualified trafficking are being readied against Kingdom of Jesus Christ Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Remulla said the Office of the City Prosecutor of Davao City has been ordered to file the charges for violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
He said the case for qualified human trafficking will be filed before the Pasig Court.
Quiboloy is facing multiple charges in the United States and was even included in the Wanted List of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Last month, the Senate issued a subpoena against the controversial preacher after he failed to show up in two hearings that aimed to uncover the details of the sexual abuse and forced labor charges against him and some of his church members.
