Startup TN Launches Agri and Food Tech Forum at TNAU Coimbatore | Coimbatore News - Times of India

Coimbatore: Startup TN, the state nodal agency for startup and innovation under the micro, small and medium enterprises department, on Tuesday launched the agri and food tech forum at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

N Senthil, director, centre for plant molecular biology & biotechnology, TNAU, launched the forum in the presence of Startup TN mission director and CEO Sivarajah Ramanathan, government officials, entrepreneurs and other key stakeholders.

In his address, Ramanathan said the forum would form a supportive ecosystem for startups in the agri and food sector. "It will bring together mentors, researchers, experts and incubators to help startups related to agriculture and food technology. While the role of Startup TN will be limited to facilitating activities, it is the panel of experts who will run the forum."

He said there would be frequent virtual and physical meetings to assist startups in the sector. "Apart from creating the ecosystem, forums like this will provide information and insights helpful in policy making and designing schemes."
