Kern County Supervisor District 4 primary election results

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Voters in the Kern County's Supervisor District 4 are deciding on who should represent them for the next four years.

Polls closed at 8 p.m. across Kern County.

The first vote count from the Kern County Elections Division is expected a little after 8 p.m.

Incumbent David Couch faces Veronica Cruz Vasquez, Alex Garcia and Salvador Solorio-Ruiz in the 2024 primary election.

District 4 includes an area south of Bakersfield and encompasses the majority of northwestern Kern County. The district has a majority Latino population -- 80% according to 2020 Census data.
