FOND DU LAC COUNTY (WLUK) -- A traffic stop in Fond du Lac County resulted in the arrest of an Oshkosh man after "significant quantities" of drugs were found in his vehicle.

According to the Sheriff's Office, it happened when a deputy stopped a vehicle that was impeding traffic due to its slow speed. The deputy observed the driver was "nervous, sweating profusely, and observed other indicators that the situation may involve more than just a traffic violation."

K9 Rip conducted an open air sniff around the vehicle and alerted deputies to the trunk, where they found a duffle bag filled with various types of drugs.

Some of the drugs were packaged for sale and others appeared "fresh off the block." A total of 168 grams of methamphetamine, 34 grams of M30 pills that tested positive for fentanyl, blue pressed methamphetamine pills, 6 grams of marijuana, and a large sum of suspected drug money was seized.

The driver, who told authorities he was traveling from Chicago to Oshkosh, had an open felony case through Outagamie County for possession of cocaine and possession of THC.

He was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail to face numerous drug related charges.
