WHAT: Trumbull Career and Technical Center board meeting Thursday
The board:
* Were informed of various projects including installation of LED lights for the career center sign at the corner of Educational Highway and state Route 45.
* Accepted the retirement of Pete Papas, custodian, effective July 1.
* Approved Melissa Sydlowski as literacy coach instructor for the 2024-25 year.
* Hired Britany Hickey as digital marketing and management instructor at $58,020; Robert Cellars as aviation and drone instructor at $65,436; John Pettit as industrial technology instructor at $67,617; and Dillan Randolph as math instructor at $65,109;
* Approved Deb Grundy and Tammy Scott both for summer shirt printing at $20 per hour not to exceed 250 hours for two employees.
* Approved Calvin Roby as a summer school instructor at $700 from June 3 to 28.
* Approved veterinary science career development competition field trip April 16 to 17 at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus.
* Approved Keys to Literacy professional development and material contract for training paid for with a Reaching All Students grant.
* Approved Gary Ghizzoni as motorcycle grant coordinator / adult education consultant for one year at $39 per hour not to exceed 18 hours per week to be paid from a motorcycle grant.
* Approved motorcycle riding instructors at $27 per hour as needed paid from the motorcycle grant.
* Approved Kevin Milyah as motorcycle repair employee at $27 per hour as needed at TCTC and Jordin Karim as a site coordinator for the motorcycle program at Kent State Salem at $34 per hour.
