Dibrugarh: Thousands of AAP supporters and party workers gathered at a rally in Dibrugarh on Saturday as AAP MLA of Delhi's Timarpur constituency and the party's chief whip of Delhi assembly, Dilip Pandey, addressed a crowd in support of AAP candidate for the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat, Manoj Dhanowar. Though AAP leader Atishi Marlena Singh was initially scheduled to be present at the rally, she cancelled her appearance due to the unfolding situation within the party following the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate, reports Rajib Dutta.However, Atishi's absence did not dampen the spirits of the supporters and workers who turned up in large numbers to show their support for the party. The atmosphere at the rally was electric as attendees raised slogans of "Aam Aadmi Party Zindabad" and "Arvind Kejriwal Zindabad", while also calling for the immediate release of Kejriwal. AAP Assam state president Bhaben Choudhury and several other top leaders of the party were also present at the rally.
