Guwahati: One more BJP candidate in Arunachal assembly elections stands alone in the fray after the nomination papers of his NPP opponent were rejected during scrutiny, taking the number of candidates of the party set to be declared winners unopposed to seven.

Techi Kaso, who has been fielded by the BJP in the Itanagar assembly constituency, now joins chief minister Pema Khandu and five other party colleagues who are without any opponent in their respective assembly constituencies.According to the EC, the nomination paper of Kaso's only opponent, Tai Tadap of National People's Party (NPP), has been rejected.
