19g Methamphetamine Seized, Four Arrested | Coimbatore News - Times of India

Coimbatore: Four men were arrested and around 19g of methamphetamine, a synthetic drug, and more than five hookahs were seized from them in two separate incidents in the city on Sunday.

The accused have bought one gram of methamphetamine for Rs 1,000 from Bengaluru and sold it to the college students in the city for Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000.

Acting on a tip-off, the Kuniyamuthur police arrested three men.They seized 10g of methamphetamine, a scooter, a sports utility vehicle, and a mobile phone from them at Sugunapuram Junction. Police identified the accused as S Hariharan, 30, M Manoj Kumar, 30, both from Srinivasa Nagar at Eachanari, and M Mithush, 23 from the Kurichi Housing Unit area near Sundarapuram.

The accused were produced before a judicial magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.

In another incident, Sundarapuram police arrested S Sahil, of Kurichi Phase-2 near Sundarapuram, and seized 9.4g of methamphetamine from him on Madukkarai Market Road on Sunday.

Preliminary inquiry revealed that he was closely associated with Hariharan, Manojkumar and Mithush.
