London: Over the years, several people have migrated to the West for a better life. Though moving abroad was glamourised extensively once upon a time, social media's prominence and its widespread usage have allowed the world to witness the challenging reality of moving to a foreign land. A recent video of a home in Central London left the internet in complete shock. Many took to the comments section to speak of the challenges faced by those moving to big cities, away from their countries.

The video posted on X was captioned, "London resident gives a tour of his £1850 per (Rs 1.9 lakh) month apartment." In the clip, a woman took online users on a tour of her space. It included a tiny bedroom space and a cramped-up toilet with hardly any space to stand. The video garnered several comments. Many opined that it was better to stay in the home country if one had enough money.

One commented, "Was hoping to see an exquisitely furnished and spacious apartment. Abroad is a scam. If you have money stay in Nigeria and enjoy your money." Another wrote, "Central London has no business with the word 'spacious'. A third person stated, "It means I'd have to fold myself up if I were to live in a room like this." Another user said, "My dear, that's how expensive apartments are in the diaspora. It seems Dubai is even better..."

Meanwhile, some claimed that the situation is not as bad as it was depicted in the video. A few netizens also said that the woman shouldn't be complaining as it was her choice to stay in the most posh part of town.
