JOHANNESBURG - Kaizer Chiefs thanked the South African Police Service (SAPS) for their swift action in arresting suspects linked to the murder of Luke Fleurs.
The club held a memorial service on Thursday for the defender, who was shot and killed in a hijacking last week.

Twenty-four-year-old Fleurs was remembered as an enthusiastic member of the squad, who endeared himself to his teammates and had a bright future ahead of him at the club.
Fleurs achieved a lifelong dream when he signed for Chiefs earlier this season but was yet to represent the team in an official game.
Kaizer Chiefs sporting director Kaizer Motaung Junior said, "We'd also like to thank SAPS for the speedy, aggressive, targeted, and successful way in which they were able to apprehend the people who took Luke's life away.
"We know no amount of punishment will bring Luke back, but we're not here to judge. We just ask that justice prevail, and we thank them for what they've done in such a short time."
Fleurs' alleged killers will appear at the Roodepoort Magistrates Court on Friday.
