Ahmedabad: Amdavadis were treated to a delightful respite from the cloying heat on Saturday night as light showers fell in areas near the Rajpath Club and scattered locations along the SG Road.

This marked the third consecutive day of cooler weather for the city, with the maximum temperature reaching 37.5 degrees celsius, 1.9 degrees lower than normal.Similarly, the minimum temperature recorded at 24.8°C was 1 degree higher than normal but notably cooler compared to previous days.

According to the forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Sunday is expected to see a maximum temperature of around 39°C. The forecast predicts "no large change during the next two days," with a subsequent rise of 2-4 degrees likely over the region thereafter.

People enjoyed overcast skies and a pleasant breeze in the evening, with some parts of north Gujarat, including Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, and Dahod, receiving light rainfall.

On Sunday, light showers are anticipated in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Kutch districts.

Vallabh Vidyanagar recorded the highest temperature in the state at 40.1°C, followed by Rajkot at 38.9°C and Surendranagar at 38.8°C.
