Molester asked to slap self with slipper 10 times on head, let off | India News - Times of India

AGRA: A 16-year-old girl from West Bengal was molested by a 15-year-old youth in Goverdhan area of Mathura district.

Captured by a nearby CCTV camera, the footage showed the assailant sprinting up from behind and grabbing the girl, who was holding a child in her arms. Hearing her screams, locals and her family rushed to her rescue.

Following the incident, a panchayat ordered the accused to apologise to the girl and her family and slap himself 10 times on the head with his slipper.He was then let off the hook. Taking cognisance of two purported videos, police have registered an FIR against the accused under IPC section 294 (obscene act). He will be produced before Juvenile Justice board.
