Serving as guest speaker at the OK FM Fan Club induction ceremony held in Monrovia over the weekend, the FeJAL President called on the new leadership to embrace diversity, encourage dialogue, and strive to create a space where every voice is valued and respected.

"Each of you, as leaders within this organization, holds the key to unlocking the potential of our community, empowering individuals, and driving positive change. But with great power comes great responsibility. Together, let us embark on this journey with a renewed sense of purpose and determination," she added.

The OK FM Fan Club is a social group comprising several individuals from different backgrounds glued to the day-to-day activities of one of Liberia's leading radio stations, OK FM and ensures that many get attracted to the news and other content of the media institution among others.

Madam Diasay, a renowned public speaker, media developer and owner, told the leadership headed by its President Bendu Dunor to collectively work tirelessly to uphold the legacy of OK FM and to ensure that its impact continues to resonate far and wide across Liberia.

She indicated that the fan club has the potential to be a driving force for positive change and growth within the station and beyond, emphasizing the need to harness the power of radio to inform, inspire, and unite the community, making Liberia a better place for all.

Reflecting on the role of the social group, the FeJAL boss said the fan club can inspire and empower the next generation of radio talent, providing opportunities for aspiring broadcasters, journalists, and content creators to hone their skills and make their mark on the industry.

She also informed the leadership that their role extends far beyond mere titles and positions, noting that it embodies a commitment to serving their fellow members, nurturing the spirit of community, and upholding the values of transparency and integrity.

"In a country where the radio is not just a medium but a lifeline for many, the OK FM fan club plays a crucial role in amplifying the voices of the people, ensuring that their concerns are heard, and their stories are shared," the FeJAL President averred.

In a related development, Madam Lisa Tenneh Diasay motivated graduates at the Creative Women Initiative School of Culinary Arts with the profound significance of Goal #5 of the Sustainable Development Goals - gender equality and women's empowerment.

Guest speaking at the official graduation ceremony of the vocational institution a few minutes after gracing the OK FM Fan Club in Monrovia, Madam Diasay stressed that the goal underscores the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for women and girls, empowering them to fulfill their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

"And here, in this vocational program, spearheaded by the visionary leadership of Juah Doeyou, we see the tangible manifestation of that goal in action. Through the Creative Initiative pioneered by Juah Doeyou, you, the graduates, have acquired valuable skills and knowledge that will not only empower you economically but also enable you to become agents of change in your communities," she said.

From entrepreneurship to leadership development, from vocational training to financial literacy, the President of the Female Journalists Association of Liberia told the graduates that they have been equipped with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern world with confidence and resilience.

But she noted that beyond personal empowerment, their graduation holds deep implications for national development and the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.

"As empowered women entrepreneurs, you have the potential to drive economic growth, create jobs, and foster innovation. Your businesses will not only contribute to the local economy but also serve as catalysts for social progress and gender equality," Madam Diasay intoned.

Meanwhile, the articulate public speaker extended her heartfelt congratulations to the administrators of the school for their unwavering commitment to empowering women and girls in Liberia.

"Your dedication and passion have truly made a difference in the lives of these graduates, and your efforts will continue to ripple through generations to come," the FeJAL boss concluded.
