Gozo Eco-Forum: MEP candidates on environmental and cultural heritage
Join in an engaging forum in Gozo which is being organised by Flimkien g?al Ambjent A?jar (FAA) and MALTA-ARCH and supported by Ghawdix.
The forum will feature MEP candidates who will share their strategies to preserve Malta and Gozo's natural, archaeological, and cultural heritage.
Topics will include the controversial road-widening project on Triq Marsalforn in Gozo, the widespread destruction of trees, the alignment of greenhouse gas reduction with EU Directives, and the conservation of Malta's rich and irreplaceable archaeological heritage. "Put this first."
The presentations will be followed by a discussion with the public. Speakers include Arnold Cassola - Independent, Sandra Gauci - ADPD, Peter Agius - PN, as well as a PL representative.
The discussion will explore the candidates' strategies should they be elected to the EU Parliament.
The organisers said that the event should last approximately two hours with a wine reception to follow.
The forum will be held at the Volunteer Support Centre in Xewkija, on Friday, the 17th of May, starting at 6.30pm. Admission: Free/Open to Public (first come, first serve).
