The Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces "Tagadum" has condemned the alleged assassination, stating it reflects the ongoing violence and political repression in the region.
The SCoP condemned the arrest and extrajudicial killing of Al-Tayeb. They allege he was detained by military intelligence on April 17th and held incommunicado. The party further claims the local leader was tortured and murdered while in prison. They hold the armed forces, military intelligence, and the Islamic Movement militias accountable for this "heinous crime."."
The "Emergency Lawyers" initiative also condemned the killing, holding the armed forces' leadership accountable. They cited coordinated targeting and monitoring of political and civilian activists in areas controlled by the army as a severe issue.
The Sudanese army maintains control specifically of the western cities of Al-Manaqil and Al-Qurashi in Al-Jazira State. In contrast, the Rapid Support Forces have controlled the rest of the state since last December.
RSF bloody violence in Wad Madani
In another tragic incident, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) assassinated medical assistant Osman Qismallah Ali Abbas in Barakat, near Wad Madani.
Despite RSF control of the area, Abbas continued volunteering at the Barakat Health Center until he was shot in his home.
In Khartoum Bahri, the Resistance Committees reported the deaths of Qais Younis Ali Rakiza and Talab Hamad al-Sayyid Babikir, who were tortured in RSF detention centres. The committees also confirmed that a drone strike on the central market in the Shambat suburb resulted in the deaths of Isam Abdel Gader Al-Kouch and Mahmoud Abdel Hadi Khojali.
Arbitrary arrests in Omdurman
In addition to widespread violence, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have arrested Ali Bishara Mor Turk, a member of the Dar es Salaam Emergency Room, Block 1, in Um Badda locality, west of Omdurman, and taken him to an unknown destination.
The RSF controls the majority of Um Badda, where severe food shortages have arisen due to depleted stocks, and all main markets have been looted and vandalized.
Abdel Karim Saleh, spokesman for the Central Resistance Committees in Dar es Salaam, Um Badda locality, informed Sudan Tribune that the RSF arrested Ali Bishara and three other young men on Wednesday. While two were released, Ali Bishara and another individual remain in custody at an undisclosed location. Saleh reported that the RSF had previously detained Bishara last month, looting 3 million Sudanese pounds from him.
The RSF is now using Bishara's Messenger account to demand a ransom from his relatives, threatening to kill him if the ransom is not paid. Saleh emphasized that Bishara is not being held at any known RSF facility in the region, and the search for him continues.
The Spokesman also highlighted the security chaos in the area, noting the emergence of groups on motorcycles who threaten and loot citizens on public roads. These groups also detain and arrest individuals, demanding ransom for their release.
Transportation in Um Badda has come to a halt due to the RSF detaining public transport vehicles to impose fees on them. This has led to the closure of most shops and markets in the area.
The Alushara Resistance Committees in South Khartoum have accused the RSF of arresting Muawiya Abdel Rahman, known as Django, a member of the Ten Resistance Committee. Django was taken to an unknown location as part of a series of arbitrary arrests and violations against defenceless civilians.
The Darfur Bar Association condemned the arrest of Muawiya Django by RSF elements in the Al-Ashra neighbourhood of Khartoum, led by an individual named Hafez Haroun. The RSF has been held fully responsible for any harm that may come to Django, and there are demands for his immediate release, along with all other detainees.
The Darfur Bar Association reiterated its "strongest condemnation and denunciation of all violations committed against civilians by both sides of the senseless war."
