Britain is known as a nation of animal lovers - and we're also fans of a good picnic. One alpaca farm near Cambridgeshire has found a way to combine these interests to create a fairly unique experience.
Flatlands Alpacas is a non- working farm that has a lot of love for the South American fluffy animal. Beginning with only three, the farm quickly grew into a whole herd as owner Louise Holland fell in love with them. Now, they are bringing joy to visitors with their adorable appearance and gentle nature.
The farm is located on the edge of the fens in Crowland, which is just over the border in Lincolnshire. It is only 20 minutes outside of Peterborough.
Visitors to the park can have a special meet and greet with the alpacas where you can handle them, learn about their care, habits and quirks, and feed them carrots. An individual meet and greet for individual parties is also available to book.
