Port Sudan, May 23 (SUNA) - Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Marine Engineer Ibrahim Jabir Ibrahim, praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, government and people, in supporting the people of Sudan and providing humanitarian aid to those affected since the beginning of the war through air bridges to voluntary and humanitarian organizations.

When inaugurating the distribution of medical equipment to hospitals affiliated with the Kuwait Patient Aid Fund, Jabir expressed Sudan's thanks to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) for the great services it has continued to provide that have placed it at the forefront.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council praised the mechanism by which the center works in providing support, assistance, consultation and coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Kuwaiti Patient Aid Fund in examining and verifying the required specifications for the devices and supervising their receipt and distribution in cooperation and coordination with the Kingdom's embassy in Port Sudan.

Jabir hoped that the rest of the organizations would follow the model of the King Salman Center in supervising and following up on the provision of relief and humanitarian services.

His Excellency indicated that dialysis machines will be distributed under the supervision of the King Salman Center to six states, while equipment for children's hospitals will be distributed to two states, and an oxygen generation station will be distributed to Al-Obeid Hospital, as it is a reference hospital serving several states.

For his part, Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, explained that this was the second time in less than a month that Sudan has received medical devices and equipment from the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, describing the service projects provided by the Center as qualitative because of their developmental dimensions that serve all sectors.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar stressed his country's keenness to provide all aid to the Sudanese people and to continue operating convoys and air bridges until Sudan returns to its previous state, hoping that security, peace and stability will prevail throughout Sudan.
