Port Sudan, May 23 (SUNA) - A team from the Qatar Red Crescent made a field visit to some shelter centers in Port Sudan, where the tents it provided to those displaced due to the war were delivered and installed.
The Qatar Red Crescent team was accompanied by representatives from the Federal Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) and the Red Sea State Humanitarian Aid Commission.
The Head of the Qatar Red Crescent office in Sudan, Dr. Salah Daak, said that these field visits came with the aim of determining the extent of benefit from these tents, their suitability for the beneficiaries, and the extent of their contribution to supporting education by opening schools and providing classrooms for the resumption of studies, explaining that providing these tents came within the framework of finding solutions and alternatives to the problem of using classrooms to shelter displaced people.
The team heard the comments made by the beneficiaries about some shortcomings in their situation inside these centers and pledged to take them into consideration, as this visit came to evaluate the situation after the installation of the tents and that consideration will be given to providing some other required materials based on this evaluation in coordination with the Humanitarian Aid Commission.
