Minister of Commerce: War does not affect Sudan exports and imports

Port Sudan, May 25 (SUNA) - Minister of Trade and Supply, Al-Fatih Abdullah Yousuf, affirmed that the war did not affect Sudanese exports and imports to and from any countries, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This came during his meeting, at his office on Saturday with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ali Bin Hassan Jaafar. The two sides stressed the need to make efforts to develop economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The minister said that work was underway to increase trade exchange between the two countries and remove the obstacles facing it.
The Saudi ambassador pointed to the depth of relations between the two countries, stressing work to increase the trade balance between them and open Saudi markets for all goods that Sudan wishes to export, especially Saudi Arabia is now approaching the Hajj season.
The ambassador spoke about the importance of the visit of a delegation headed by the Minister of Trade and Supply to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next week to discuss joint action in the trade field between the two countries, maximization of Sudanese exports to the Kingdom, and establishment of distinguished commercial relations in the next stage.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with the Saudi Ministers of Commerce and Agriculture, in addition to the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, the Jeddah-biased Islamic Development Bank, and the Jeddah Port Authority. BH/BH
