Singapore's Grab to work with OpenAI to boost app accessibility

SINGAPORE -- Singapore-based ride hailer Grab Holdings says it will work with OpenAI to incorporate generative AI technology into its app, the first such partnership in Southeast Asia for the ChatGPT developer.

Grab on Thursday said it will tap OpenAI's text and voice capabilities to make its super app -- which also includes food delivery and financial services -- easier to navigate, particularly for visually impaired and elderly users. It will also explore using generative AI to build enhanced chatbots for customer support.
