The donation was made at the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg, where the team is currently camping. Making the presentation on Wednesday, Mr. Urey said it is amazing to see young girls together to better themselves, instead of abusing drugs or alcohol.

He praised and congratulated the team for eliminating Senegal to advance to the next round of the qualifiers and wished them all the best in their upcoming match

At the same time, the President of Shiata Angels Benita Urey pledged an additional $1,000 United States dollars as a winning bonus for the first leg scheduled for 9 June 2024 at the SKD Sports Complex.

Doco Wisseh, the Technical Director of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), expressed gratitude to the Urey family for the kind gesture and contribution to women's football.

On Tuesday, Businessman, Dr. Thomas Tweh alias Original Country Man (OCM) also presented L$200,000 and 25 bags of rice.

Bong County Representative Moima Briggs Mensah had earlier given US$200 as her personal contribution. The donations follow a plea by the Liberian FA President Mustapha Raji for all Liberia and companies to rally around the team amidst financial constraints faced by the football association.
