Ahmedabad: An association of school administrators has written to the chief minister requesting extending the summer vacation, which ends on June 13, by another week. The association has made this demand citing heatwave conditions in the state. The association wants the holidays to be extended till June 20 so that students don't have to commute to school in heat.It stated that the Met office forecast says that temperatures in the state are likely to remain above 40 degrees Celsius for the next two weeks.
