KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jaydon Hibbert jumped a world leading 17.75m (-0.7m/s) to win the men's triple jump at the Racers Grand Prix at the National Stadium on Saturday.

The 19-year-old, who set indoors and outdoors world junior records last year, got the big jump on his fourth and final effort after he had broken the meeting record earlier in the second round, passing the 17.20m set by Christian Taylor in 2017.

Hibbert went over the 17.00m mark three times, having also jumped 17.14m (-1.5m/s) and 17.30m (-1.3m/s).

Obrien Waysome placed second with 16.64m (-1,3m/s) and Jordan Scott placed third with 16.06m (-1.2m/s).

Raymond Richards won the men's high jump with 2.20m, the same height cleared by Christoff Bryan and Lushae Wilson.

Shawn-D Thompson won the men's long jump with a best of 7.81m (-0.9m/s), beating former world champion Tajay Gayle who had a season best 7.75m (-1.7m/s) for second while Guyana's Emanuel Archibald was third with 7.59m (-0.7m/s).
