Andhra Pradesh (AP) Election 2024 Result Live News Updates: It all comes down to this day. An electoral process which lasted for nearly 46 days, witnessed polling in as many as 7 phases only to decide on the fate of 8,360 candidates representing 744 parties in the 18th Lok Sabha elections.

As for the southern state of India, Andhra Pradesh, the counting for the 175 assembly seats and 25 parliamentary constituencies will be underway. Andhra went into polling on May 13 for both State elections and Lok Sabha.

According to state's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena, all arrangements have been made for counting of votes and the procedure is scheduled to begin at 8 am.

The number of counting locations are 33 across the state, in 401 halls which will have 2,443 EVM tables for Parliamentary constituencies and 2,446 for assembly constituencies, the CEO said.

"All the DEO (District Election Officers) reported that all arrangements have been made for counting of votes. Counting of votes will be taken up at 8 am on June 4," Meena adde.

About 443 postal ballot tables have been allotted for Parliamentary constituencies and for assembly constituencies it is 557.

In the Lok Sabha, 454 candidates contested from Andhra and around 2,387 contested in the legislative assembly. Moreover, around 3.33 crore voters had cast their votes of which 26.4 lakh voters were over 85 years of age and persons with disabilities.

As per the CEO, there were 26.7 lakh service electors (members of armed forces) and employees of essential services and 4.61 lakh voters on election duty.

To ensure an uncompromised counting process for both elections, the election watchdog has deployed 119 observers to supervise the same along with a micro-observer allotted for each counting table.

Notably, total staff of 25,209 have been deployed for the counting process.

According to the CEO, there will be fewer than 20 rounds of EVM vote counting in 111 assembly constituencies, between 21 and 24 rounds in 61 constituencies, and more than 25 rounds in three constituencies. In a similar vein, postal ballot counts for 102 assembly constituencies are anticipated to go up to two rounds, 48 seats for up to three rounds, and 25 for up to four rounds. The CEO noted that the transfer of VVPAT machines, control units, and pertinent documents from strongrooms to counting halls and back will be continuously monitored by CCTV.

Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly 2019 results: In the 2019 assembly elections, Janasena managed just one seat, TDP 23 seats, and YSRCP 151 seats. In the state elections, neither the Congress nor the BJP were able to win any seats. Exit polls indicate that Jagan will suffer as Naidu's TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena win the election.

Chandrababu Naidu, making it a bastion for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Additionally, Nellore Rural, Chittoor, Machilipatnam, and Srikakulam have also been crucial in Andhra Pradesh's legislative assembly elections
