Vice President of Transitional Sovereignty Council reviews overall humanitarian situation in Blue Nile State

Port Sudan, June 3 (SUNA) - Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Aggar, was briefed on the overall humanitarian conditions in the refugee and displacement camps in Blue Nile State.
During his meeting in his office in Port Sudan today, Monday with Ishraga Ahmed Khamis, Minister of Social Welfare in Blue Nile State, His Excellency stressed the need to address the conditions of the displaced persons before the rainy season, pledging to overcome all obstacles and challenges facing the work of the Ministry.
The meeting touched on humanitarian priorities and necessities to confront the fall season, with regard to the provision of food, medicine, new shelter centers, and evacuating schools of displaced persons for the beginning of the new academic year.
For her part, Ishraga reviewed the ministry's efforts and plan in dealing with the humanitarian and health conditions in the state, pointing out to the smooth flow of work and the response to the humanitarian need according to the plan and joint coordination with the Humanitarian Aid Commission, the relevant ministries and organizations working in the humanitarian fields, as well as youth initiatives in the state's localities, explaining that there are 39 shelter centers in the state for displaced people and returnees.
