At least seven people died in localised flooding in Nelson Mandela Bay, and ten others lost their lives in car crashes in different parts of the province.
Eskom's Daphne Mokoena is urging residents to be patient and follow available channels to log faults.
"Despite the positive developments, we are still appealing to the members of the public to use electricity sparingly and efficiently during peak hours so as to alleviate pressure on the power system and maintain uninterrupted electricity supply."
Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Gary van Niekerk said that the provincial government had offered them support.
"We have received assistance from provincial government as well, where the premier contacted me and dispatched two MECs - one from Human Settlements and one from COGTA [Co-Operative Governance and Traditional Affairs] - that will accompany us on our site visits this [Tuesday] morning."
