Passengers' association seeks government intervention for suburban train service | Guwahati News - Times of India

Guwahati: The Assam Rail Passengers Association (ARPA) urged Assam govt to ensure introduction of sub-urban train services in Guwahati and Dibrugarh after their repeated pleas to Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) and Railway Board authorities for more than two decades failed to yeild results. The ARPA, a pan-Assam association, recently met the principal secretary of Assam govt and asked him to take up the issue with NFR, Railway Board and rail ministry.They demanded a better train service for the benefit of thousands of daily commuters, reports Dhrubajyoti Malakar.
