GLASGOW, Ky. - If you've been outside lately, you've felt that intense heat. One nonprofit is opening up a space to help folks take shelter from the high temperatures if they need it.

Bridge KY has announced its spring and summer cooling room hours. From Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the organization is opening up a space to shield you from the intense elements.

Wade Copas, the executive director of Bridge KY, tells News 40, "As equally important as it is to get people out of cold elements, it is just as important to get people out of the heat, you know, have access to clean water, stuff like that. So, that's been our mission."

The cooling center will be open Monday night. You can help by donating resources like water. If you need to use the cooling center, or if you'd like to help, the address is 603 West Main St. in Glasgow, Kentucky. For more details, visit facebook.com/bridgekentucky.
