HYDERABAD: A Malaysia Airlines flight, MH 199, departed from Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in the early morning hours of Thursday, bound for Kuala Lumpur.

However, shortly after takeoff, the pilot detected a technical issue with the engine while the aircraft was airborne. As a result, the flight crew made the decision to return to the airport.

Airport officials confirmed that the flight, which had 138 passengers on board, took off at 12:45 am, slightly later than its scheduled departure time of 12:15 am.

The exact nature of the technical problem is yet to be disclosed, and further information regarding the incident is pending.
