Teves' brother nabbed for alleged terrorism

MANILA, Philippines -- Former Negros Oriental governor and brother of expelled congressman Arnolfo Teves Jr., Pryde Henry Teves, was arrested by the Philippine National Poice (PNP) for alleged terrorism on Thursday.
Teves was arrested at 8:15 a.m. in Barangay Taclobo, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
The arrest warrant was issued by the Seventh Judicial Region, Branch 74 of Cebu City on May 13, 2024.
His bail was set at P200,000.
The Anti-Terrorism Council (ATC) designated the Teves brothers and 12 others as terrorists in August 2023.

Their designation as terrorists stemmed from their alleged direct involvement in the planning, training, preparing and facilitating the terrorist activities; recruitment to and membership in a terrorist organization; and providing material support to terrorists.
Former congressman Teves is currently in Timor Leste where he is sekking asylum, He is being accused of being the alleged mastermind in the killing of Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo.
