Private Tutor in Hailakandi Accused of Raping Minor | - Times of India

Silchar: A case has been lodged against a private tutor in Assam's Hailkandi district for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in his house. The names of two other persons have also been included in the case, reports BB Goswami.

According to the FIR lodged by the girl's father at Bilaipur police station on Friday, the man took the girl to his house as a maid, promising that he would arrange for her education.However, he allegedly molested her regularly and didn't allow the girl to go back to her house.

The FIR added that on Thursday (June 19), she was beaten up brutally by the man and his family members after which she was handed over to a village headman to take her back home. After she went home and narrated her ordeal, the girl's father lodged the FIR.

However, no one has been arrested yet.
